    Medical Biller/Collector

    Position Summary:

    As the Medical Biller/collector, you will be responsible for assisting and maintaining an optimal and consistent cash flow by billing, tracking and collecting revenues owed to the company. You will ensure a consistent and accurate stream of financial data by working with pre-authorization and/or insurance verifications, data entry using clinics billing software, transmission of claims, overseeing claim movement through the clinics designated clearinghouse along with working aging reports to ensure timely collections. This position will require familiarity with medical and rehab coding/billing.

    Performance Objectives:

    • Ensure timely entry and follow up of accurate patient data into computer system
    • Input insurance payments and handle all communication with insurance companies
    • Generate weekly/monthly reports and statements
    • Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
    • Use coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies
    • Communicate claim disputes and patient medical referrals from the provider
    • Ensure all patients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
    • Answer any and all patient billing questions
    • Adhere to laws and best practices in regard to dealing with patients and data
    • Conducting insurance verification, reimbursement inquires, and preauthorization calls
    • Handle records requests to substantiate billings

    • Ability to overcome objections with confidence
    • Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy required
    • Coordinate and balance needs of the patient and the clinic
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • High degree of attention to detail
    • Experience in use of Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel required
    • Team orientation and strong collaborator
    • Present self in a professional and positive manner in attitude and appearance at all times
    • Ability to maximize and apply internal systems, processes, and platforms
    • Understand, align, and communicate our mission, vision, and values
    • Desire to define and take massive action to accomplish personal, professional and financial goals
    • Understanding of CPT coding and ICD10 coding

    Education & Experience:

    • High School diploma required
    • 2 plus years of experience with insurance and patient billing required
    • Medical Billing & Coding – trained by the AAPC, preferred
    • Certified Professional Coders (CPC), preferred
    • Experience in a multi-physician practice, preferred

    Front Desk

    Position Summary:

    As the Front Desk/Receptionist, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the clinic and the acquisition and retention of patients by communicating with all potential
    patients who contact the clinic. In this role, you will be highly patient facing and require a high level of organization and multitasking. You will be welcoming patients into the office, collecting payments, filing paperwork and creating a remarkable experience. As the Front
    Desk/Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for many patients entering the building so it is expected that you present yourself in a professional manner that positively represents our clinic.

    Performance Objectives:

    • Schedule new patients as well as follow up appointments
    • Prepare waiting room and facilities for patient arrival and end of day to set the next day up for success.
    • Greet and manage new patient intake which includes creating a comfortable environment, check-in, paperwork completion and verification, collecting all payment and scanning and updating patient information (insurance, ID, etc.)
    • Ensure all patients are appropriately processed at the end of treatment
    • Maintain charts in an orderly fashion and ensure accuracy.
    • Answer incoming calls and make cold calls while taking notes or messages
    • Educate the patient on the services provided in the clinic
    • Consistently offer the highest level of personalized customer service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude

    Medical Assistant

    Position Summary:

    As the Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the retention of long-term quality patients for the clinic through the execution of service delivery systems so the patient’s needs and expectations are exceeded. You will be assisting the medical provider in delivering care and completing administrative duties in our fast-paced clinic. As a Medical Assistant, it will be required that you have a high level of interaction with others as well as participate in educating the patients.

    • Complete patient vitals, obtaining and documenting patient history and updating patient information in the chart/ EMR
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records according to HIPPA guidelines
    • Restock exam rooms, perform cleaning routine and manage supplies to keep inventory current
    • Ability to read and interpret medical orders/protocols and diagnostic test results with supervisor
    • Take quick action with the physician and/or physician assistant in handling and resolving complex patient matters
    • Ensure seamless, efficient patient flow on medical side by working with the team
    • Assist with procedures (blood draws, injections, sterilizing instruments, etc.)
    • Reliably keep a clear line of communication with provider to deliver feedback and progress of patient treatment plan
    • Educate the patient on the services provided in the clinic
    • Consistently offer the highest level of personalized customer service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma
    • Medical Assistant graduate of an approved school
    • Familiarity with medical billing procedures
    • Ultrasound experience preferred, but not required
    • Medical Assistant certification required
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a multi-physician practice is preferred, but not required.
